Stories about what it would be like to go to space abound. Consider movies and TV shows like Interstellar, The Martian, Away, Space Camp, and Armageddon. While all are focused on space, each of these productions highlights different aspects of that potential experience. This is a great example of how the same topic can be used again and again, but brought to new life each time. 
The article “When A Mars Simulation Goes Wrong” from The Atlantic, articulates a more realistic experience of the challenges humans may face on Mars specifically. It presents a bit of a different image than the movies and shows previously listed. When writing this essay, balance the fantastic with the realistic.
