Brainstorming Copy

Spend some time intensely observing your chosen object, and then jot down a thorough physical description. Include only descriptive words, nothing emotive yet.

How did your perception of the object change after going through the exercise of articulating its physical attributes in language? Now let your mind wander and do some free association; write down emotive words and thoughts that the object evokes. Combine both the physical characteristics and the product from your free associations to write your poem.
