1.25 The Antagonist

The antagonist is the character standing in the way of the protagonist’s success in resolving the conflict. This Draco Malfoy also has to be believable, as do the roadblocks the character puts in the way of the protagonist. If the challenges the antagonist creates seems too easy or convenient, you run the risk of losing your reader—and more importantly, weakening the quality of your story.
