1.17 Rising Action

If you auditioned for a part in the Freytag’s Pyramid musical, you would definitely want the part of the rising action because it is on stage most of the time. A lot of classes will say focus on the three most important scenes of the story leading up to the climax when showing examples of rising action, which I think is perfectly fine. You don’t want to rewrite the story listing all the sequences of events. If you decide to create an outline of your story before writing it, which is certainly a good idea if you like more structure, deciding on several important scenes of rising action can help give your piece more of a solid direction once you begin writing.
